Ariarne Titmus addresses Olympics pre-race controversy with Katie Ledecky

In the 400-meter freestyle on Saturday, Ariarne Titmus made a mistake prior to the race, which proved to be her lone misstep of the evening as she won her second straight gold medal.

Furthermore, the Australian swimmer clarified that she had made an honest mistake when she had lined up in Katie Ledecky's lane rather than using any sort of intimidation technique.

According to the Herald Sun, Titmus remarked, "I just saw that one was the free one." "Normally, when you come out, you go to the one on the left. I completely forgot about it until I looked at the number, and we laughed a little bit in the medal presentation room.
